  • Rooted in early Methodist settlers—including the Powers, Crawford, and Hogue families—Trinity’s origins date to 1830, reflecting early American Protestant settlement rather than a single immigrant group.

  • Located at 30 W. Front St., the present church, completed in 1883, features Collegiate Gothic architecture and houses the “Mighty Moeller” pipe organ, built by M.P. Moeller in 1947.

  • During World War II, the congregation undertook major renovations, including construction of the east wing and the Chapel of Friendly Bells, one of the first non-denominational chapels in the United States.

  • Trinity functions as a supportive neighborhood church emphasizing faith, fellowship, and service.

  • Ministries include adult Sunday School, the Joy Team, and the Good Shepherd Kitchen.

  • The present congregation is smaller in members, but continues a long tradition of community care and outreach.
