  • Founded in 1861 by Welsh American immigrants, located at 220 N. Elm Street.

  • Originally constructed in Greek Revival style; expanded in 1887 with Queen Anne elements.

  • Cruciform plan, polygonal tower, dormer windows, and layered rooflines made it a landmark.

  • Served as cultural hub for the Welsh community; hosted Ohio’s first Eisteddfod (Welsh music festival).

  • Welsh parishioners were instrumental in building blast furnaces in Brier Hill and working in coal mines.

  • Sold in 1976; damaged by fire in 1997; demolished April 28, 2022.

  • Salvaged pews, woodwork, photographs, and archival records preserve its legacy.

  • The Mahoning Valley Historical Society continues to document its history.
