  • Founded by Ukrainian immigrant families who had settled in the Arlington District by 1909, located at 526 W. Rayen Avenue.

  • Land for the church was purchased with contributions from parishioners.

  • Designed by Youngstown architects Miller and Ford in the Ukrainian Baroque style, featuring three domes and ornate turrets.

  • Interior highlights include a marble altar with a frescoed Last Supper, life-sized stained-glass windows of the four Evangelists, and a hand-crafted iconostasis imported from Ukraine.

  • Construction was entirely funded by parishioners through donations and loans, overcoming delays caused by limited resources, reflecting both communal perseverance and faith.

  • While the congregation now consists mostly of older parishioners, the church continues to maintain its presence through Potato or Sauerkraut/Potato pyrohy sales every Thursday at the Social Hall.

  • Engages in community outreach through supporting Ukraine with aid collections (medical, food, supplies), running local food/coat drives, hosting events like fundraisers for Ukraine, and facilitating spiritual/community building via parish groups, pyrohy sales, and connecting with other local parishes for broader charitable efforts, all fostering a supportive environment for both parishioners and the wider community.
