  • Established by Serbian immigrants from Yugoslavia and located on Youngstown’s West Side at 53 Laird Avenue.

  • Built in traditional Byzantine-influenced Orthodox style, constructed of brick and stone, and crowned with a gilded copper cupola symbolizing Christ and the heavenly kingdom.

  • Construction was completed in 1929, and the church was consecrated in 1931 by Bishop Mardarije, head of the American Diocese, who contributed financially to the building.

  • In 1960, the parish celebrated the dedication of its new memorial hall, attended by Bishop Dionisija, priests from throughout the region, and some 500 parishioners. The $130,000 hall hosted its first banquet as a major gathering space.

  • The church remains a center of Serbian faith and community life and is well known locally for its Friday fish dine-in or carry-out dinners, which continue to draw parishioners and neighbors alike.

  • Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church engages in community outreach primarily through cultural preservation, fellowship, and supporting fellow Orthodox Christians, highlighted by its annual Serbian Picnic (Slava) with food and traditions, hosting events for diverse Orthodox parishes, and fostering strong internal groups like the Mothers' Club for faith and community building, serving as a hub for Serbian heritage in the Mahoning Valley.

  • The church embodies continuity of cultural, social, and religious traditions in Youngstown.
